There are no such strict restrictions to the boys. When the classes are over, we sit by the college ground and let our tiredness go away.
The mess food is quite good, but we all can agree on the part that the taste of food like home cannot be found in the mess. So, accept this harsh reality, and Swiggy, Zomato, is always there at your fingertips.
This college has an amiable environment. Seniors are like another family to the juniors. They do take intro of the juniors, but that is not a thing to worry because it only strengthens our bond, and as time passes, seniors are equivalent to our friends. Whenever we meet them, they always offer treat. In the worst case, if something wrong happens, there is an anti-ragging committee in this college which always help the freshies if he/she is uncomfortable with any senior.
After the start of the classes, you will get your tech father or mother according to your roll number who will be your guardian. The seniors started this for some fun, but now it’s like a tradition.
Talking about academics, this can be blindly said that teachers in this college are excellent and highly qualified. They are well-experienced degree holders from various prestigious institutions like NIT, SPA, IIT, and BIT. They are a repository of knowledge from whom students can grab the most. They also provide notes and case studies. Classrooms are big enough for the students, and the Labs are also equipped with air conditioners. Each lab is well maintained, and the equipment is still in good working condition.
Other than academics, students of this college are also excellent in sports. They have won many gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Inter NIT sports events, which have made this college the best option for sports enthusiasts.
The placement scenario of NITP is commendable. It has a massive list of recruiters that come for placements, which include companies like Aditya Birla group Chemical, Adani Power Ltd, BPCL, Bharti Infratel Ltd, Bhushan steel Ltd, etc. The highest salary package offered in the previous session was 43 LPA by Amazon. So have a good CGPA and grab a suitable placement.
The college has different clubs and societies for students like the art and literary club, dance club, music club, robotics club, etc. NIT-Patna started up student chapters with an internationally recognized society like ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and SAE, especially for M.E. students and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) for ECE and E.E. students.
Now, let’s talk about the much-awaited part of any college, it’s fest. NITP organizes a big techno-cultural fest, Corona and Melange, on the campus, which is almost a one-week long festival. The students entirely manage this. Students from different colleges like BIT Patna, IITP, NITJ, etc., take part in this fest. Cultural fest activities include events such as face painting, singing, dancing, antakshari, and rangoli competitions as well as art and craft exhibitions and sports. Technical events include robotics, circuit designing, etc. The festival also includes lectures by renowned people.
The celebrities which made this year fest best were the famous singer Asees Kaur, The TRAP band, and the youngest EDM/pop duo Zephyr tone.
You couldn’t agree more that we all get tired of following a hectic schedule every day. So, who doesn’t need a holiday? Bihar has a great name when it comes to heritage tourism. Being in Patna, this college is connected to the various tourist spot to visit and enjoy a weekend there. Some beautiful places to check out with your friends are Bodhgaya, Nalanda, Vaishali, Rajgir, etc.
Talking about a personal experience, when I first saw the campus, I felt disappointed due to its small area. But as several days passed by, I started exploring the college, participated in the joyous club events, took part in the astounding sports events, had fruitful conversations with great seniors, and so on. All of this made me realize one thing; it’s the students who earn the name for their college, not its campus. Attending the morning classes, taking naps inbetween the lunch break, fun-filled lab with friends, taking a break from mess and having a treat in the Indian Food Court, drifting towards the ghat with friends and then more roaming around the campus, it all became part of my daily routine. All this changed my disappointment into the epitome of happiness. Now, I find myself encouraging juniors to take admission in this college and live the best four years of their life.
There are many other marvelous things which can only be witnessed after visiting this place. One thing is for sure; you would not get disappointed after joining this college.
